This site is great. Been learning Rambo from some of the YouTube vids and now here. New to frame data and had a question concerning frame traps. What’s the math behind why Rambo’s f2~quick slash is a trap for 6f d1 characters? Thanks and again awesome content sir
Hi, sorry for the late response. The formula for calculating gaps can be found here: https://www.kombatakademy.com/mortal-kombat-11/general/mortal-kombat-11-general-frame-data-information/ Gap = 2nd Move Start-up – 1st Move Cancel Advantage – 1 If you take Rambo’s B+2 and cancel it into Leopard Krawl->Quick Slash, this will trade with 7 frame pokes. This means that there is a 7 frame gap in between B+2 and Leopard Krawl->Quick Slash. Turn on the Frame Data option and do B+2 by itself and you’ll see that it has a Block Cancel Advantage of 19 frames. If you plug these numbers into the formula above you’ll get: 7 =… Read more »
